Vraiment doucement
Choreographer Victor Quijada returns with two musicians and ten dancer-athletes, all virtuosos at the top of their form. Ever So Slightly explores the behavioural mechanisms and reflexes that we develop when exposed to the constant flow of nuisances we are bombarded with ever day.
If most humans carry with them a true desire to be calm and resilient, how do we move towards a space where there is no place for noise and aggression?
Demonstrating finesse, brutality, subtlety and acrobatics working in synergy, the choreography stages all the energy contained in urgency, rebellion, chaos and escape.
Victor Quijada is considered a pioneer for his role in developing a new style inspired by breakdance, ballet and dance-theatre, and has won several international awards.
