MOI – Momentum of Isolation
Illusionary | Visceral | Satirical | Rigorous
Supported by an image that is more polished than ever, Shay Kuebler puts eight dancers on stage in a piece that is alive, invigorating and anchored in the spirit of the times. In a dystopian present, an isolated man is confronted with a reality made up only of inanimate objects. The lack of the living, of the group, is quickly felt. Through interactive video and surprising sound design, MOI – Momentum of Isolation is a study of how our lives and digital identities are all possible slides into increased solitude within a sea of contact. An invitation to sublimate these states and mesh them back again to recreate the grandeur of living together.
