Memory Palace
Cancelled
Rigorous, playful and energetic, Memory Palace is a performance that explores the connections between body memory, music and dance. The title of the work refers to the memorization method of a ‘memory palace’ that uses the architecture of a place to organize a wide range of information. Following this model, the choreography is based on the idea of collective memory. Alternating between sequences in unison and intimate solos, it reveals the undeniable way that movement is embedded in the body. With various types of dance – folk, social, modern, line – the work builds a space that invites performers and spectators to find their own dance memories. A refreshing experience that inspires hope.
