Carnival | Organic | Sculptural | Subversive
Olivier de Sagazan offers a powerful body of work composed of images that are both beautiful and disturbing. On stage, the visual artist plays with the bodies of the performers, covered with clay, then sculpted, deformed. Half-human, half-beast creatures reveal their striking peculiarities. Equal parts carnival and ship of fools, the work creates a dream state that at times crosses into nightmare.
