Created by Brice Noeser, Direction assistée is a delightful performance that explores the intimate connection with one’s mother tongue and their relationship with foreign languages.
What piece of imagination is sparked by a language and the person who speaks it? With humor and intelligence, the choreographer challenges four performers through thought-provoking trials. Between riddles and sporting matches, the piece navigates between the discomfort of miscommunication and the thrill of successful communication. Unexpected connections are forged between the performers and the audience, revealing extraordinary ways to relate to one another.
Performed by an intergenerational cast, including Jacqueline Van De Geer, Karina Iraola, Elinor Fueter, and Sona Pogossian, Direction assistée invites our curiosity towards the sounds and codes unique to an idiom.
