Recent graduate of the production design & technical arts at the National Theatre School of Canada and graduate of a double major in Theatre and History at the University of Ottawa, Tristan-Olivier works in all aspects of lighting, from designing to assisting and touring. Through his practice, he looks to use lighting in order to paint reality and sculpt space. He tries to keep his lighting in movement to follow the textual breaths and musical sonorities.

In the past year, he has designed lights for Bluelight (Théâtre Trillium), On maronne (Théâtre Cercle Molière), Ode (Théâtre Rouge-Écarlate et la bibitte poétique), Mme et Messieurs, garçons et filles and Gaston Klaxon (Vox théâtre), Shorelines (Tactics), Heartlines (GCTC + Tactics). He has also had the opportunity to assist other lighting designers as well as tour with compagnies such as Les deux mondes, Spectra Musique and Encore Spectacle. He is based in Montreal and Ottawa.
