Pogossian

Born in Armenia, Sona trained in classical and contemporary dance at the Conservatoire de Lyon and the Jeune Ballet de Genève. She completed her training at the Moscow State University of Arts and Culture, where she developed expertise in Character Dance. Sona has collaborated on interdisciplinary creations with artists such as Klaus Karlbauer and Mustapha Barkati in Austria, Ivola Demange in France, Mikhail Mourachko in Russia, Guilherme Botelho in Switzerland, Ani Javian in Armenia, Bhrunno Henryque in Brazil, and Andréanne Leclerc in Canada. She has also participated in socio-cultural projects with the NGO Maliba, U-man Radio, the Casa Astral Institute, and UWC Dilijan. In parallel, Sona is pursuing a PhD in Art Studies and Practices at UQAM, focusing on the corporeality of women in militarized cultures.
