Oliver Koomsatira graduated with honours from the Professional Theatre Program at Dawson College and has since performed in over 250 film, theatre, dance, tv productions and commercials in both English and French. He has to this day performed over 1300 times for 500 000 spectators across Canada, The United States and Europe and over 20 million audience members through TV, film and commercials.
He is the recipient of The Elsa Bolam Award (2008) in Recognition of Outstanding Achievement by an Emerging Theatre Artist as well as Outstanding Ensemble Award (2015) as Dave Lowe in Factory Theatre’s Banana Boys. The production was also nominated for a Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding Performance – Ensemble. He also received 3 nominations in 2022 for Outstanding Lead Performance (PACT Production) and Outstanding Contribution to Theatre (Choreography) by the Montreal English Theatre Awards (METAs) for his performance in Psycho 6, a play he wrote, which also received a nomination for Outstanding New Text. He’s an active full member of ACTRA, CAEA and UDA.
