Lydiate

Nicholas Lydiate, was born Norwich, England. He Immigrated to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at the age of 7 and has resided in Canada since. His enthusiasm for dance and the physical theatre arts has been prevalent for as long as he can recall, along with the unforgiving support of his family, and mentors. Nicholas’ early dance training in Saskatoon ranged from ballet and contemporary to tap and hip hop. The versatility that this range of differing ideologies and views of “what movement” is conducive on a social and proscenium level are the merger that he prioritizes in his dance practice.

Nicholas has been fortunate in his professional endeavors thus far to work, and continue working for Vancouver based artists; Shay Kuebler Radical System Art (RSA), Marta Marta Productions, Wen Wei Dance among others.
