Kimberley is originally from Vancouver B.C. where she trained at Arts Umbrella. In 2001 she pursued her career in Montreal upon graduating from L’Ecole Superieur de Danse du Québec. She first danced for Dutch Company Galili Dance in 2004 in Groningen, Netherlands. From 2006-2012 she danced for Marie Chouinard and now rehearsal directs and free lances for the company. Kimberley received a development grant to study alongside Ohad Naharin in Tel-Aviv Israel, 2008. Kimberley also dances for several other Montreal choreographers, including Frédérick Gravel, Alan Lake, Dana Gingras, Martin Messier, Caroline Laurin Beaucauge, David Pressealt et Sylvain Emard.

Kimberley de Jong created her first full length piece CYCLe2 in 2014, interpreted by Brianna Lombardo and Nathan Yaffe and produced by Tangente Laboratoire Mouvement. In 2016, Kimberley profited from O-Vertigo’s residency program to create a co-collaboration with Brianna Lombardo, Unravelling. Boxher will be her first solo creation and also first time working with live music collaborator Jason Sharp and will be presented through Tangente in March 2018.
