WArd/waRD is the Dutch-Flemish company of choreographer Ann Van den Broek. In 2000, after an active and successful career as a dancer, she decided to dedicate herself to the development of her talents as a
choreographer. To do that, she founded her own organization called WArd/waRD which has a Dutch and a Flemish branch. She works both in Antwerp and in Rotterdam, and WArd/waRD is also a partner of Theater Rotterdam.

These past years, she has successfully left her mark on the dance scene in The Netherlands and in Belgium, and with her vivid movement language she has also built a solid reputation in the international dance scene, having toured several European countries, Canada, China and Taiwan. The points of departure of her work are emotions and human behavior patterns. What motivates modern man? “Instinctive” and “explosive” are words often associated with her work.
