Anissa
Daoud
Self-taught and versatile, Anissa Daoud was born to a Tunisian father and a Franco-Italian mother. Initially known as a film and theater actress, she later expanded her work to include producing and, more recently, directing. She champions and creates contemporary, often multidisciplinary works that are deeply rooted in social and political engagement.
The films she has been involved in are primarily international co-productions that have gained recognition by competing at prestigious festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Cairo, the César Awards, and Clermont-Ferrand, among others. In theater, she has collaborated with companies in Tunisia, France, Italy, England, Palestine, Togo, and beyond.
While continuing her acting and producing career, Anissa is currently developing the screenplay for her first feature-length fiction film.
